Brite Resourceful Tip: Spend Now to Save Later
Knowledge is power. Education gives us knowledge to use that power. This power can be used to influence others and further ourselves. So how does this apply to being resourceful? By educating ourselves, we learn new skills and find new resources to better our quality of living. We also learn how to complete a task or project for ourselves without “out-sourcing” it. Sometimes spending a little now on ourselves, adding equity to our brain, can save us in the future.
Some examples:
Take a cooking class so you know how to cook and don’t have an excuse for not cooking at home.
Take a photography class so you can take your own studio style pictures of you children as they grow up.
Take a “do-it-yourself” class at Home Depot and get your hands dirty! (don’t read between the lines here)
Take a sewing class and do your own alterations.
Take a computer class and create your own website, stationary, blog, online store, etc.
Figure out how you can save in the future by investing in yourself today. Regardless, you’ll be proud of yourself – you just added a new skill to your life’s resume! And you saved!
