Brite Beauty Tip: Nutritious Sweet Tooth Relief
Need a cool summer snack? Skip sugary treats and boost your nutrition with some yummy home-made ice pops.
What you need: Popsicle molds or 3-ounce paper cups, aluminum foil and wooden popsicle sticks. For a home-made mold fill each cup two thirds full; then cover with aluminum foil. Cut a small slit in the center of each foil lid and insert wooden stick. Freeze for about 4 hours and then tear away paper cup to sooth that sweet tooth!
Tangy Pop recipe: Start off with immune-boosting vitamin C by using orange juice as your main ingredient. Next toss in some fresh blueberries, which are pumped full of antioxidants. Finally, chop up some sweet, iron-rich mango. Pour into mold and freeze!
Smoothy Pop recipe: Start off with vanilla soy pudding. Add potassium-rich banana slices. Sprinkle some hearty healthy dark chocolate bits to give it a lasting decadent flavor. Pour, freeze and enjoy!
