A Tasty New Wine Label….

Tango Real, a new wine label that is recently appearing on shelves and in upscale restaurants, will be sure to make your wine-enhanced palette dance.  We liked the wine so much, we asked them to sponsor our magazine launch party.  For those of you who can’t make it, be sure to read about our interview with this great company and where you can get your hands on these affordable varietals…

1) What kinds of wines and varietals does Tango Real supply?

We have 7 reds and 2 white wines.
3 of the reds are 1 Reserva and 2 Gran Reserva, meaning they have more aging time than the standards, bringing out more of their hidden berry flavors and aroma.  The Reservas should be allowed to breath for a while after uncorking, before drinking.

The varietals are:
WHITE:
Sauvignon Blanc
Chardonnay
RED:
Syrah
Merlot
Malbec
Cabernet Sauvignon

Cabernet Sauvignon RESERVA
Cabernet Sauvignon GRAN RESERVA
Malbec GRAN RESERVA

2) What makes Tango Real wines unique?

Hand crafted by the oldest winery in Argentina, GOYENECHEA S.A.  founded in 1868.
The 5th generation of the family is already fully involved in maintaining the quality and fine wine production that their ancestors brought from Spain.

3) What foods or dishes would you suggest to pair your wines with?

Malbec’s and reds pair traditionally well with beef and steaks but any of the reds are exquisite also with a variety of pasta dishes.
The whites are very refreshing during the summer months, go very well also with seafood and certain cheeses.  Should be served chilled.

4) Why did you decide on the the name “Tango Real?”
The TANGO Reál makes a closer association or connection of these fine wines with the Tango dance from Argentina and to the idea of sharing or enjoying the wine with a partner….
